Former president of "Bavaria" Hoeness allowed to leave prison for work

The former president of the Munich football club "Bavaria» (Bayern) Uli Hoeness, who was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison for tax evasion, now has the right to leave the prison in order to work. This was reported by a representative of the Ministry of Justice of Bavaria.

Hoeness can throughout the day to be at work outside the prison, but must return there for the night. 

In the "Bavaria" has repeatedly pointed out that the 62-year-old functionary will remain in the structure of the club and will work with the youth team of Munich.

13 March last the court in Munich sentenced Hennessy to 3 years and 6 months in prison for tax evasion. Ex-president of the club, according to prosecutors, concealed from the state amounting to 28.5 million euros. The prosecution demanded for him to 5.5 years in prison. 

As mitigating circumstances, the court recognized the fact that the president of the football club in January last year, he issued a confession, has not been brought before the criminal liability and fully admitted his guilt. 

From June 2, he is serving his sentence in prison in Landsberg nearby Munich.
